New KPK Leaders: Prioritize Case Settlement That Becomes A Public Spotlight
Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Fitroh Rochicahyanto said that every case that exists must be the focus of the KPK leadership for the period 2024-2029. Likewise, cases that attract public attention.
"I am sure that my leadership friends will agree with the case that is of public concern, which we must immediately resolve," Fitroh told reporters at a press conference quoted from the KPK's YouTube, Saturday, December 21.
Even so, Fitroh said there are still cases that will be prioritized. This step is important considering that there are not many human resources (HR) owned.
"Especially in taking action, there are still relatively few who have to handle all cases in Indonesia," he said.
"Therefore, of course there must be a priority which cases must be resolved," continued Fitroh.
Previously reported, the leadership and the KPK Supervisory Board for the period 2024-2029 took the oath of office by President Prabowo Subianto on Monday, December 16 or before his visit abroad. This procession is held at the State Palace, Jakarta.
The leadership and supervisory board of the KPK then carried out the handover of the position (sertijab) on December 20. Setyo Budiyanto became the chairman of the KPK.

Meanwhile, the position of the KPK Supervisory Board was filled by Gusrizal as Chairman of the KPK Supervisory Board. He was assisted by members, namely Benny Jozua Mamoto, Chisca Mirawati, Sumpeno and Wisnu Baroto.
