Airlangga Targets 2024 Discount BINA Transactions To Reach IDR 22 Trillion
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto conveyed that the 2024 Discount Indonesia Aja (BINA) is targeted to be able to reap transaction value of up to IDR 22 trillion.
Airlangga said that previously, the 2024 National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) was held which was targeted to be able to reap a transaction value of IDR 40 trillion.
"The target (BINA) is IDR 22 trillion, Yesterday the target was around IDR 40 trillion," he told the media crew, Friday, December 20.
In addition, the Expenditure Program in Indonesia Aja was initiated by the Indonesian Shopping Center Retailer & Tenants Association (Hippindo) and the Indonesian Shopping Center Management Association (APPBI) which was held for 10 days from December 20 to December 29, 2024 in order to welcome Christmas and New Year (Nataru) for the period 2024-2025.
Airlangga said the activity involved as many as 380 companies, 80 thousand outlets, 800 global, local, and MSME brands held in 396 shopping centers from 24 provinces.
"There are 80,000 outlets, and almost all of them, the majority are Indonesian products, MSME products," he said.
He explained that the event would provide discounts or discounts ranging from 50 percent to 70 percent, and this was included in the category of saving Indonesia's foreign exchange spending.
"So, this activity includes activities that we categorize in the economy as saving foreign exchange spending in Indonesia," he explained.

Airlangga believes that the activities of the 2024 Discount Development Agency and Harbolnas will have a positive impact.
"Hopefully with these two programs, we can reach IDR 50 trillion in December. This is certainly very meaningful to boost sales," he concluded.
