Attack On Kyiv Requires Russia For Ukrainian Attack On Rostov With Western Missiles

JAKARTA - Russia's Ministry of Defense said the attack on Ukraine's Kyiv with long-range weapons on Friday was a retaliation for Ukraine's attack on Rostov.

Ukraine is said to be using missiles supplied by the United States (US) and Britain when it attacked its territory a few days earlier.

Russia said its forces attacked the command center belonging to the Ukrainian SBU intelligence agency, in Kyiv which it said was involved in the design and manufacture of missiles, as well as the US-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile system.

"The purpose of the attack has been achieved. All targets have been achieved," the Russian Ministry of Defense said.

Ukrainian officials said a Russian missile strike on Friday, December 20, killed one person and damaged buildings in Kyiv.
