Strong, 22 BJ40 Plus BAIC Units Become Army Tactical Vehicles
JAKARTA - PT JIO Distribution Indonesia as the Official Distributor of BAIC Indonesia handed over 22 units of BAIC BJ40 Plus, which will later be used as tactical vehicles for the Indonesian Army.
The handover of the car unit that was present with a dashing design was carried out at the Army Headquarters on Jalan Veteran No 5 - Central Jakarta. Chief Operating Officer of BAIC Indonesia Dhani Yahya, said he was very honored and proud.
"We are honored and proud, that BAIC BJ40 Plus is an option to complete the ranks of the Republic of Indonesia's resilience vehicles. This is in line with the vision and mission of our Company," he said, in an official statement received on Thursday, December 19.
He further said that this collaboration with the Army was the first step from BAIC Indonesia in providing support to vehicles for national resilience, with the hope that there would be development to other units in the near future.

In specifications, this car packs 4 cylinders of gasoline, 16 valves, 2,000cc DOHC with Turbocharger, producing a maximum power of 221 Hp with a maximum torque of 380 Nm, believed to be very capable of conquering all road and natural conditions in Indonesia. Combined with an 8-acceleration transmission of a well-known transmission factory from Germany, namely ZF-Friedrichshafen.
In addition, the driving system has also used the Electronic Transfer Case with the Differential Lock Center from Borg-Wagner to support the performance of this vehicle to break through all terrain such as rocky roads, hills and mountains and even deserts.
