Required To Study For 13 Years, Mendikdasmen Gandeng Kemendes PDT Kejar Program '1 Village 1 PAUD'
JAKARTA - Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti said he was ready to collaborate with the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT) to implement a policy of having to study for 13 years.
Mendikdasmen menjelaskan kolaborasi tersebut diperlukan untuk memastikan setiap satu desa memiliki satu satu unit pendidikan Taman Kanak-anak (TK), mengingat kebijakan wajib belajar 13 tahun nanti akan mewajibkan anak-anak usia muda untuk menyembuki tingkat PAUD sebelum mengikuti tingkat pendidikan Sekolah SD (SD).
"We will synergize with the Ministry of Villages PDT, because the 'One Village One PAUD' program is indeed part of their program, but Pak Prabowo also gave us directions so that in implementing the program we must always work together. So these two ministries are encouraged to work together so that these programs can run as well as possible," he said in Jakarta, Thursday, December 19, confiscated by Antara.

As for the interventions that can be carried out by his party, he mentioned that one of them is by affirming kindergarten, including those managed by the private sector, and has been running by recording the needs they need, starting from the renovation of physical buildings to the provision of learning facilities.
Meanwhile, for villages that do not have a kindergarten education unit at all, he continued, they will only get intervention from the PDT Ministry of Villages. That way there is an acceleration related to preparations for the implementation of the policy of having to study for 13 years.
"Regarding the One Village One PAUD Program, affirmation can be carried out, what has not been built can only be built through the Ministry of Villages PDT, if there is already a community holding early childhood education, we just affirm it as part of the Ministry of Education and Culture to provide space for participation for the community," he said.
This is in line with the priority scale of his party, which prioritizes school renovations and rehabilitation in 2025 rather than the establishment of new schools, considering that technically this is easier to do and its education services have already run in the community.
