Toyota Promises Surprise In 2025, Prepares New Electric And Hybrid Cars

Towards the end of 2024, PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) again showed positive performance in the Indonesian automotive market. Of the total national sales of 806,721 units for the January-November 2024 period, TAM managed to contribute 268,288 units.

Although this figure has decreased compared to last year's 327,675 units, TAM actually recorded market share growth of 0.8 percent. This achievement shows Toyota's ability to maintain competitiveness in the midst of challenging market dynamics.

Of course this is inseparable from PT TAM which released a number of the latest products this year such as All-New Vellfire HEV, GR Yaris facelift, Prius HEV, New Fortuner, All-New Hilux Rangga, and others. Well, what are the projections of this company next year?

Vice President Director of PT TAM, Henry Tanoto, said that his party is always committed to expanding superior services and products according to the needs of Indonesian consumers. Unfortunately, he did not mention in more detail what breakthroughs his party would do.

"In 2025, Toyota is always committed to providing services and products according to Indonesia's needs," Henry said at a media gathering in Kuningan, Tuesday, December 17.

In addition, he also gave a signal regarding the presence of a new model in his presentation consisting of Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), and one of the sub-divisions of Gazoo Racing (GR).

"I can't mention the product, but give a teaser for the BEV and HEV cars and lines from Gazoo Racing," Henry added.

Although PT TAM is still silent about products, it is possible that one of its product lines is between the Corolla Cross facelift or the presence of Camry's latest generation with HEV drivers who have been marketed in other ASEAN countries such as Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia.
