Vice President Reviews Phase 2A MRT Project, Asks To Be Completed On Time
JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming Raka is again reviewing the construction of the Glodok-Kota MRT MRT line at Glodok Station, Jakarta.
The Vice President reminded MRT Jakarta to complete the construction of the route and station on time according to schedule.
Vice President Gibran, after reviewing the MRT Jakarta Phase 2A project in Glodok, said that the construction of the route was essential because it could increase connectivity and mobility of Jakarta residents.
"On the other hand, this development is also an affirmation of the government's commitment to accelerating the settlement of strategic infrastructure which will not only reduce congestion, but also support reducing carbon emissions in Jakarta," said the Vice President as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 18.
During his visit to the construction site, the Vice President also appreciated the cooperation of all parties in ensuring the smooth construction of the MRT Jakarta Phase 2A line and station. Gibran also advised the Jakarta MRT to make the safety of the workers a priority.

In several photos shared by the Setwapres, Gibran walked through several locations, including following the tunnel of the MRT Jakarta Phase 2A line.
The MRT Jakarta Phase 2A project will connect the Bundaran HI MRT Station to the city which is 5.8 kilometers long. In the new MRT line, seven underground stations were built, namely Thamrin Station, Monas Station, Harmoni Station, Sawah Besar Station, Mangga Besar Station, Glodok Station, and City Station.
The work on MRT Jakarta Phase 2A is divided into two segments, namely segment one of the HI 'Harmoni Roundabout, which is scheduled to be completed in 2027, and the two Harmoni's segment of the City which is targeted for completion in 2029.
The MRT Jakarta Phase 2A project is one of the national strategic projects that is of concern to Vice President Gibran. The vice president on the first day of his work also reviewed the MRT Jakarta Phase 2A project at the location of the MRT Monas Station, Jakarta, on October 21, 2024.
