Maintain Water Security In Jakarta, PAM Jaya Collaborates With Lemhannas

JAKARTA - Perumda PAM Jaya cooperates with the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) to maintain water security in Jakarta. This was done from the signing of the MoU between the BUMD and the state institution.

President Director of PAM Jaya Arief Nasrudin revealed that this strategic step in maintaining water security in Jakarta is an effort by the company owned by the DKI Provincial Government to support President Prabowo Subianto's vision of self-sufficiency in water.

Arief said that this collaboration aims to conduct an in-depth study of water security, considering the importance of water as a basic necessity that affects community stability and welfare.

"This is in line with the President's vision of self-sufficiency in water, where PAM Jaya will continue to be committed to maintaining water security in DKI Jakarta," said Arief in his statement, Wednesday, December 18.

Arief explained that this collaboration also includes research on various aspects related to clean water management, infrastructure challenges, threats to water resources, and defense strategies in dealing with potential water crises in the future.

"In addition, Lemhannas and PAM Jaya will also formulate policies to strengthen a safe and sustainable water supply system for Jakarta residents," he said.

It is known, in his speech at the MPR plenary session some time ago, Prabowo emphasized the importance of water self-sufficiency as part of the priority program for self-sufficiency in energy. According to him, economic resilience and the welfare of the Indonesian people cannot be achieved without equal access to clean water.

Arief emphasized that PAM Jaya is committed to improving services and infrastructure to ensure equitable distribution of clean water for all Jakarta residents.

"This Memorandum of Understanding is expected to strengthen the synergy between institutions in creating more resilient water resistance and answering the challenges of clean water needs in the capital city," said Arief.
