GIS And Jamdatun Increase Synergy To Realize Good Company Governance
JAKARTA - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) and the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration have agreed on cooperation in legal consultation in the field of civil and state administration to assist the Company in making responsible business decisions. This collaboration was marked by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement by the President Director of SIG, Donny Arsal and the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration (Jamdatun), R. Narendra Jatna in The East Tower, Jakarta, Tuesday 17 December.
GIS President Director, Donny Arsal said, the collaboration between SIG and Jamdatun is a form of SIG's commitment to running a professional business in accordance with the principles of good corporate governance. Through this collaboration, SIG hopes that the business decisions set by the Company are in accordance with applicable legal regulations so that it can create value for the state and other stakeholders.
"As a state-owned provider of building materials solutions, GIS is committed to supporting infrastructure and housing development programs run by the government, through smooth supply of quality products and frozenness, as well as the best service. All of this can be realized by implementing good governance, and this collaboration with Jamdatun will help SIG in making responsible business decisions," said Donny Arsal.
Meanwhile, R. Narendra Jatna revealed that the mission of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto in the 2025-2029 RPJMN is to continue infrastructure development where GIS can focus on playing a role and contributing.
"What needs to be paid attention to the ranks of the GIS Board of Directors is the elaboration of Asta Cita related to infrastructure development in Presidential priority program number 13, namely ensuring the construction of affordable quality housing to be initiated for both rural/city communities and people in need," said R. Narendra Jatna.
In addition, Presidential priority program number 14 is to continue economic equality and strengthen MSMEs through business credit and development programs for the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) as well as other innovative cities, characteristics, and self-isolation.

"This agreement is a strategic step to optimize legal risks that may arise in SIG business operations, both related to material, immaterial losses, reputational risks, and compliance," said R. Narendra Jatna.
Furthermore, R. Narendra Jatna emphasized the importance of understanding the fiduciary duty, namely the principle of carrying out trust in managing the company with good faith, including the principle of duty of skills and care, namely the principle of prioritizing skills and prudence in making business decisions.
"Every decision taken must be based on the principles of prudence, good faith, and focus on the company's interests while still complying with applicable laws and regulations," said R. Narendra Jatna.
