PKB Legislators Ask The Government To Guarantee Infrastructure Readiness To Face Christmas And New Year Holidays
JAKARTA - Member of Commission V DPR from the PKB faction, Sudjatmiko, asked the government to ensure infrastructure readiness for the 2025 Christmas and New Year holidays.
According to him, the main focus of the government in the Nataru period this time is to maintain the smooth transportation, anticipate the surge in homecoming flow, and ensure the availability of basic needs and security.
Christmas and New Year are the momentum where people's mobility increases significantly. I ask the government to ensure and ensure that transportation infrastructure, both land, sea, and air, is in prime condition and ready to face a surge in passengers," said Sudjatmiko, Wednesday, December 18.
Sudjatmiko reminded that coordination between related ministries, such as the Ministry of Transportation, the Police, and transportation operators, must be further improved.
"All sectors, starting from toll roads, rest areas, train stations, bus terminals, to airports, must be ready. Supervision and anticipation are also needed at points prone to congestion and accidents," he said.
Sudjatmiko also assessed that the government is important to maintain price stability for basic commodities ahead of Nataru. He emphasized that the availability of food and price stability must be the government's main concern.
"Don't let people be burdened because of the uncontrolled price spike," said Sudjatmiko.
