SoundCloud Launches Cheaper Subscription Plans For New Artists

JAKARTA - SoundCloud introduced a new subscription package for an artist called Artist, who to help new musicians introduce their music to the world easily and affordablely.

"Artist packages make it easier for you to create, distribute, monetize, and develop your career," the company wrote in its official blog quoted Wednesday, December 18.

At a price of 3.25 US dollars (IDR 52 thousand)/month or 39 US dollars (IDR 627 thousand/year), the Artist package provides affordable options for new artists who want to expand their reach.

As part of this update, SoundCloud has also changed the name of the Next Pro subscription package to Artist Pro to better reflect the company's commitment to supporting artists at every stage of their career.

"At SoundCloud, we believe great music can come from anywhere, and should not be limited by costs or complexities," said Eliah Seton, SoundCloud CEO. "That's why we made an Artist subscription, to provide tools and professional level distribution for new musicians at affordable prices."
