KPK Receives 21,189 Complaints Of Alleged Corruption Throughout 2020-2024
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said there were 21,189 public complaints that came in throughout 2020-2024. Information that comes in often opens the handling of new corruption cases.
This was conveyed by KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata at a press conference on 'KPK Leadership Performance for the 2019-2024 Period', Tuesday, December 17.
"One of the handling of cases at the KPK stems from public complaints. During 2020-2024, the KPK received complaints of 21,189," said Alexander at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.
Alexander said 9,603 incoming complaints were archived. "And 16,821 verification is carried out," he said.
As for the data presented, the most complaints occurred in 2023. The number reached 4,389.

Meanwhile, the area that submitted the most complaints was DKI Jakarta with 2,414 complaints.
"The five most complaints came from the areas of DKI Jakarta, West Java, East Java, North Sumatra, and Central Java," said Alexander.
"KPK expresses its gratitude and appreciation to the public for reporting complaints of alleged corruption. We realize that as reporters also have a high risk so that the KPK is committed to protecting the reporters," he concluded.
