Democrats Refuse To Interfer In PDIP Affairs That Fire Jokowi And Gibran To Become Cadres

JAKARTA - The Democrat Party refuses to interfere with the PDIP's affairs which has officially dismissed the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka as cadres of the bull party. Democrats emphasized that every political party has their respective sovereignty.

"We don't interfere in the affairs of other people's parties, we respect PDIP friends, if the Democrats are our business," said Chairman of the Honorary Council of the Democratic Party DPP, Hinca Panjaitan, Tuesday, December 17.

"In Democrats, this is my business as an honorary council, but because this is not a citizen, it is not permissible for Democrats," he continued.

Hinca said the Democrats respected the PDIP's decision to expel Jokowi and Gibran from party members. Democrats, he said, also never discussed personally with Jokowi to join the party bearing the Mercy Star symbol.

"We just respect the decisions of our friends at the PDIP. We manage our party, we develop it, hopefully, the Democrats will be victorious again, right, and we are sure that this party will develop well," said Hinca.

"(About the chat with Jokowi, ed) At all we, internally, our party doesn't talk about anything else," he added.

When asked further about the consideration of Jokowi's dismissal because he did not support Ganjar Pranowo in the presidential election, Hinca was reluctant to comment. Even about Gibran who became vice president Prabowo Subianto. He emphasized that the Democrats did not take care or interfered with other political parties.

"If there is an incident at your house, you take care of your house, don't take care of other people's houses. The political parties really respect the sovereignty of each party. So the Democrats too, we respect the decisions of the parties there. Unless it's a matter in Demorat, you ask me, I answered, this is a matter from there," concluded Hinca.
