KPK Searches Bank Indonesia Office, Investigating Alleged Corruption of CSR Funds
JAKARTA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has searched the Bank Indonesia (BI) office in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged corruption of corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds.
"Yes, a team from the KPK conducted a search at the BI office last night," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto in a written statement on Tuesday, December 17.
Tessa did not detail the findings obtained by investigators from the search. Further information regarding the case being investigated has also not been provided in detail.
However, it is known that the KPK previously conducted an investigation into alleged corruption of CSR funds at Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) which allegedly occurred in 2023. In this case, there were indications of misuse of CSR funds that were not in accordance with their intended use.
