Ahead Of Christmas And New Year, BTN Provides IDR 20.37 Trillion In Cash

PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) allocated Rp20.37 trillion in cash to ensure the sufficient need for cash funds for customers in order to welcome the momentum of the Christmas and New Year Holidays (Nataru) in the period 19 December 2024 to 2 January 2025.

BTN Corporate Secretary Ramon Armando said the cash allocation increased compared to the Nataru period the previous year. Ramon detailed, in Nataru this time, the cash allocation increased by 3.41 percent from Nataru 2023 amounting to Rp19.68 trillion.

"We see the potential for increased community mobility during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays, so we increase the allocation of cash to ensure the convenience of our customers in transacting using cash," Ramon said in Jakarta, Friday, December 13.

With this increase, Ramon continued, the average cash prepared by BTN during the long holiday period at the end of this year is IDR 2.03 trillion per day. This value is equivalent to 1.15 times the average cash maintained by the Branch Office under normal conditions.

Ramon added that the company will also budget as much as Rp8.15 trillion or 40 percent of the total funds for BTN ATM fillings spread throughout Indonesia. Meanwhile, the value is Rp12.22 trillion or 60 percent of the total and will be allocated to cash in all BTN outlets.

Until now, BTN has 739 national outlets consisting of 629 conventional office networks and 110 sharia, as well as 3,652 ATM and CRM machines (Cash Recycling Machines) throughout Indonesia.

To make it easier for the public to carry out non-cash banking transactions, Ramon said that customers can use the BTN Mobile application anytime and anywhere.

"BTN Mobile is a comprehensive digital service that offers attractive promos such as free transfer fees and cashbacks. Customers can enjoy cashbacks and additional loyalty points if they make purchases, payments, transfers of funds, cash withdrawals or transactions using QRIS with BTN Mobile," said Ramon.

A number of other features offered by BTN Mobile include public utility payment transaction services such as electricity, water, telephone, as well as payment of various taxes, including vehicle tax and regional taxes. Customers can also use BTN Mobile to pay loan installments, internet bills or subscription TV, as well as purchase credit, plane tickets and regular trains and high-speed trains.
