IMM Urges Harun Masiku To Be Arrested During Geruduk KPK Building: Stop Reasons, Move!
JAKARTA - The Central Executive Board of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (DPP IMM) has urged the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to arrest former PDIP candidate Harun Masiku who has been on the run since 2020. There should be no more reasons so that the bribery case for the interim replacement process (PAW) for members of the DPR RI can be completed soon.
This was conveyed by the General Chairperson of the IMM DPP, Riyan Betra Delza during an action at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, December 13. The anti-corruption commission was asked to show concrete evidence in law enforcement efforts through the arrest of Harun Masiku.
"This is the time for the KPK to stop arguing and start acting to resolve this case," said Riyan.
Riyan also highlighted the impact of this protracted case on political stability in the country. "It is important for the KPK to prove that the law applies equally to everyone," he said.
Harun Masiku, who has not been tracked for almost five years, shows the weakness of law enforcement efforts. The KPK must act decisively immediately to prove that the law is indiscriminate," he continued.
As previously reported, Harun Masiku was officially named a suspect in a bribery case related to the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the DPR. This case stems from a hand arrest operation (OTT) carried out by the KPK on January 8, 2020.
However, Harun has not been prosecuted for running away. The KPK has now updated the wanted list (DPO) by listing a number of photos.
Then the summons of witnesses to investigate the PAW bribery case continues. One of them, summoned the former Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) of the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Yasonna Laoly on Friday, December 13.
However, the PDIP politician confirmed that he could not attend because there was another agenda. So, investigators will recall on Wednesday, December 18.
