Shin Tae-yong Ensures Rotation Of Squad Against Laos, Fatigue Is The Main Factor
JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, confirmed that the squad will rotate when they host Laos at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
The decision was taken by Shin Tae-yong due to the fatigue factor experienced by the players in the tight schedule for the 2024 AFF Cup group phase.
"The current players are very tired, but I will try my best so that the team can play better against Laos later," said Shin Tae-yong before the match, quoted on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
"Even though we only train for one day, we will try to get the best results. In the first match, our squad averaged players who were less than 20 years old."
"So, I ask the supporters to support these young players to be able to develop further than they are now," he said.

The Indonesian national team is currently reinforced by 24 players, which are dominated by young players. Seeing the composition of the current squad and the tired situation of the players, Shin Tae-yong said that it is very possible to dismantle the players considering that the existing power stock is also so limited.
"Not so many players can be replaced. So, we will have a rotation (player) and work as much as possible in every game," said Shin Tae-yong.
Currently, the Indonesian national team is in second place in the 2024 AFF Cup Group B standings with a collection of three points. This amount is the same as Vietnam's acquisition in first place and only difference in goals.
