Successfully Sold 4 Million Units, This Is The Story Of Four Models Of Honda N Series Products
JAKARTA - Since it officially launched in 2011, until 2024 the Honda N Series production line has recorded positive cumulative sales.
Based on data received by VOI, Wednesday, December 11, the total sales of the Honda N Series reached 4 million units in Japan which covered four main models, namely Honda N-BOX, Honda N-ONE, Honda N-WGN, and Honda N-VAN.
The development of the Honda N Series originated from Honda's vision to create an ideal new vehicle for the Japanese market. The first time it was launched was Honda N-BOX in December 2011, and continues to grow to meet the needs of the Japanese people.
Starting from the Honda N-ONE which is designed as the best private car for each individual. Honda N-WGN prioritizes functionality and design that blends with everyday life. And Honda N-VAN is intended for workers' needs with the concept of practical and versatile vehicles.
"Honda N Series is known for its extensive cabin space designed based on the philosophy of 'Man Maximum, Machine Minimum', as well as Honda's unique central tank layout," the company said in a statement.
The models in this series continue to present innovations to increase added value, including the introduction of Honda SENSING safety technology as a standard feature in the second generation of Honda N-BOX, as well as enhanced fuel efficiency and driving performance.
Furthermore, in October 2023 Honda launched the third generation N-BOX which has been embedded with Honda CONNECT connectivity technology and a more advanced Honda SENSING safety system. Equipped the Honda N-BOX variant, in September 2024, Honda introduced the Honda N-BOX JOY, which is designed to support its daily active lifestyle. This variant expands customer selection while still offering practicality and comfort.

Towards electrification, Honda launched N-VAN e: in October 2024 which is an N-VAN-based commercial electric vehicle. This model became the first electric car in the Honda N Series line. Through this innovation, Honda aims to expand the adoption of electric vehicles in Japan without sacrificing the typical Honda N Series value, making it the ideal solution for the daily needs of Japanese society.
The Japanese brand itself had introduced the N Series in Indonesia, namely the N-VAN EV Prototype at the GIIAS 2023 event. At the event, Honda also announced a collaboration with Pertamina where the Honda N-VAN EV Prototype became a study car to study the use of electric cars as logistics delivery to various places in Jakarta and its surroundings.
Then, at the GIIAS 2024 event, the Honda N-VAN EV Prototype was developed into Honda's first electric mobile cafe in the world with the name Honda Dreams Café Mobile.
