Wings Air Cancels Flights To Four Routes In NTT Due To Extreme Weather
PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia Airport El Tari Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, reported that Wings Air airlines were forced to cancel flights to four airports in NTT from Kupang due to extreme weather that hit the area.
"Today, four of Kupang have canceled their flights due to bad weather," said PGS. Legal, Compliance & Stakeholder Relations Department Head I Gusti Ngurah Yudi Saputra reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 10.
He said this was related to bad weather that occurred in the NTT region, which had an impact on flights in the island-based province.
The four flight routes that Wings Air canceled were the Kupang-Larantuka route with flight number IWI 1931.
The plane was supposed to depart at 08.30 WITA local time but due to bad weather the flight was finally canceled.
The airline then moved the flight schedule to Wednesday (11/12) tomorrow with the same flight number but the flight schedule was changed to 06.10 WITA.
The second route is Kupang Kupang-Lewoleba with flight number IWI 1995B. The plane had already departed at 08.30 WITA, but when it was about to land at Lewoleba airport, the weather was bad, so the plane returned to Kupang.

The third route is the Kupang-Larantuka flight route with flight number 1929. The plane was supposed to fly at 12.30 WITA but it was canceled.
"Flights are diverted or transferred to the 11th tomorrow with flight number 1929P at 06.00 WITA," he said.
Meanwhile, the fourth flight route is Kupang-Wayapu. The plane should be on schedule for departure at 15.15 WITA, but due to the bad weather, it was finally moved to Wednesday (11/12) tomorrow at 06.00 WITA with flight number IWI 1923P.
