Police Make Sure There Are No Casualties Or Injuries In The House Fire In Kemayoran
The Kemayoran Police confirmed that there were no casualties due to the fire that hit hundreds of houses in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, to be precise in Kebon Blank Village, Tuesday, December 10.
"The results of the temporary data and the information are nil, there were no injuries or victims who died. Hopefully there won't be any," said Kemayoran Police Chief Kompol Agung to reporters.
As of Tuesday afternoon, firefighters were still in the process of cooling the fire from the fire at the scene. Even though the fire had been extinguished, there was still smoke coming out of the charcoal from the fire.
"Currently it is still cooling down. The loss is still being recorded," he said.
Meanwhile, several refugee tents have been established by the Central Jakarta Social Sub-dept. around the fire location. In addition to the evacuation tent, the Social Service Agency also built a public kitchen for fire victims.
Head of the Central Jakarta Social Sub-dept., Abdul Salam, said that his party was still waiting for confirmation from the local village head regarding assistance for the needs of residents affected by the fire in Kemayoran.
"The evacuation tents have been established. We have deployed 15 task forces at the evacuation site. The other assistance needed is still waiting for confirmation from the local village head," he said when confirmed separately.

Previously, it was reported that hundreds of densely populated settlements in the Kemayoran area began to be extinguished on Tuesday, December 10, at around 15.00 WIB.
The flames that devoured hundreds of houses were successfully extinguished by 128 personnel with 32 fire engines.
"The fire has succeeded in the cooling process at 15.00 WIB. The current status has turned yellow or cooled," said Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Asril Rizal when confirmed by VOI.
The fire started with sparks from the house that were used as a collection of plastic junk belonging to a resident with the initials J.
The spark then quickly grew and burned all parts of the semi-permanent building in the area.
