Residents Of Cipinang Melayu Twice Lost Vespa Sprint, Still Lucky That The Perpetrators Were Arrested
The East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim managed to arrest a suspect in the theft at a resident's house, Jalan Budi IV, Cipinang Melayu, Makasar District, East Jakarta.
The suspect with the initials KDD (19) was arrested by the East Jakarta Metro Police Special Criminal Unit (Krimsus) after the victim MM (47) made a police report.
Then the police carried out a series of investigations until they managed to catch the suspect not far from the scene.
According to the victim's report, the victim with the initials MM suffered a loss of 2 units of automatic Vespa Sprint and PlayStation 5 motorcycles with a total loss of Rp 81 million.
The suspect KDD admitted that he had committed theft twice by breaking into a resident's house. The suspect's theft has occurred twice at the same house.
In the first theft, the suspect managed to steal the victim's white Vespa Sprint motorcycle with the number B 6363 SMR. The suspect stole a motorbike that was on the terrace of the victim's house.

"So the suspect used a screwdriver to open the window and enter the victim's house. The suspect took the motorbike key that was hanging on the wall. Then with this key the suspect controlled the victim's motorbike," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when confirmed, Tuesday, December 10.
The suspect has managed to sell two Vespa motorbikes as a result of his theft to Rivaldo Chaniago alias RV around ITC Cempaka Mas, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
"He sells (motor) with a COD system, for more than Rp. 17 million. The money from selling stolen motorbikes is used by the perpetrators to rent apartments, cars and holidays to Bandung," he said.
As a result of his actions, the suspect with the initials KDD was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code related to theft with weight.
