HMID Will Launch 7-8 New Cars In Indonesia In 2025, Appearing Genesis Brand?

JAKARTA - PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) plans to expand its vehicle ranks for 2025 consisting of a new all-new model to existing line refreshments.

This was revealed by the Chief Marketing Officer of PT HMID, Budi Nur Mukmin who said that his party would introduce at least 7-8 new models for next year.

"We will have a completely new model, besides that there are also some refreshes from existing models or facelifts, so a total of 7-8 new models," Budi said when met by the media on the sidelines of the all-new media drive event Santa Fe in Bandung, recently.

He also said that his party would present a model in a segment that Hyundai has never explored in Indonesia, one of which is segment A or entry-level vehicles.

"We make sure it is Hyundai's new product by targeting segments that we have not entered in Indonesia," added Budi.

In addition, HMID also opened the possibility of the presence of the premium Genesis brand in Indonesia, which previously made its debut in international events such as the G20 Summit in Bali in 2022.

"The presence of Genesis at the G20 Summit is the first step in building this brand awareness in Indonesia," explained Budi.

Budi also revealed that the presence of a Genesis car that had been circulating on the streets of Indonesia also received a positive response as well as opening up opportunities for its presence to be sold en masse.

"So if there is an opportunity to be introduced in Indonesia, it is quite open," said Budi.

In 2022 through the G20 Summit in Bali, HMID provided the Genesis Electrified G80 unit for operational vehicles for high-ranking state officials to carry out services during the event.

This long sedan has a double electric motor on each front and rear. Thus, the Electrified G80 is able to emit 370 dk of power and generate a maximum torque of 700 Nm

Has dual electric motors, Genesis Electrified G80 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour within 4.9 seconds.

Not only impressive about speeding, the battery consumption is also amazing. With a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 87.2 kWh, this car can cover a distance of up to 427 km when the battery is fully charged.
