Jakarta Zero Gubernatorial Election Re-voting
JAKARTA - The Jakarta KPU ensures that there will be no re-voting (PSU) for the governor election (pilgub). The hard work of all parties is appreciated.
This was conveyed by Jakarta KPU member Dody Wijaya in the plenary meeting of the recapitulation of the vote count for the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election at the Sari Pacific Hotel, Jakarta today, Sunday, December 8.
"We also appreciate the hard work of the adhoc, PPK, TPS, KPPS organizers, district/city KPUs successfully holding elections with zero re-voting," said Dody at a press conference.
Dody explained that re-voting could be done because of several things based on Law Number 10 of 2016 and KPU Regulation Number 17/2024. Among them are due to recommendations from the sub-district control committee (panwascam).
"Regarding the re-voting, it can be done first, because the recommendations from the Panwascam, district/city Bawaslu, provincial Bawaslu or because of the Constitutional Court's decision," he said.
"Until D-1 we did not get a re-voting recommendation," said Dody.
Furthermore, Dody also said that the objections of witnesses from each pair of candidates in the Jakarta gubernatorial election had been followed up by the organizers. From the recapitulation of the sub-district level, by PPK, recapitulation at the district/city level as for example is related to the alleged re-voting. We, on D-1 before the provincial recapitulation, have also coordinated with the provincial Bawaslu," he said.
"Until December 6, we did not get a re-voting recommendation," explained Dody.
