The Feud Has Started, PSIM And Bhayangkara Precision For The Top Of The Standings
YOGYAKARTA - PSIM Yogyakarta competes closely with Bhayangkara Presisi FC in the fight for the top of the 2024/2025 Liga 2 standings. Only PSIM in response to an opponent is not easy, Persijap Jepara, in the 12th match at the Kebogiro Stadium, Boyolali, Saturday, December 7, 2024.
PSIM coach Seto Nurdiyantoro said competition in Group 2 was like a MotoGP race. The teams are jegal and overtake each other to fight for the top position. Or at least they hope to stay in the top three in order to secure tickets to the top 8.
The feud began when the league entered its second round. PSIM, who won in the first round, failed to maintain consistency so that they were only able to get one point in the first two matches. They finally returned to winning ways after beating Nusantara United 5-0 at Mandala Krida, last weekend.
The victory brought PSIM to second place with 21 points. They are still two points adrift of Bhayangkara Precision which is perched at the top of the standings.
PSIM has benefited a little because it still has one match. However, Laskar Mataram must be able to maximize this opportunity in order to meet the minimum target, which is to get 30 points.
"Poin 30 is the minimum target if you want to stay in the top three to qualify for the next round. We ourselves focus on rank three," said Seto.
PSIM, at this time, is ready to fight Bhayangkara Presisi who host Persekat Tegal. In order to maintain his position, Bhayangkara Presisi has no choice but to win the match.
PSIM also set a target point against Persijap who held a match in a neutral place. Failed to get permission to hold a match in Jepara, Persijap chose to move it to Boyolali by hosting PSIM at the Kebogiro Stadium.
Persijap, who is currently ranked third, is clearly not an easy opponent. In the first meeting in Yogyakarta, Persijap managed to hold PSIM without a goal. Seto also admitted that Persijap could not be underestimated even though they played in neutral places without spectators.
"Hopefully a good and strong team. In the first round, they managed to steal points. Now, I hope they return the stolen points," said Seto.

Only PSIM's desire must be supported by the motivation and desire of players to perform optimally in order to achieve the best results. Moreover, they face opponents who really want to rise after failing to win twice because they played a draw.
"It all depends on how the motivation and hopes and wishes of the players are. In addition, we cannot field the best team. There are a number of players who are absent due to injury. While others experience fever so they cannot appear," said Seto again.
