Post-flood And Landslides In Sukabumi, 4 People Are Still In Search

The Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, confirmed that the landslide disaster that occurred in Sukabumi Regency caused three people to become victims of natural disasters. In addition, there are four people who are still being searched after being buried by landslides.

"Three people died due to landslides, while four others are still being searched," said Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin, December 5.

According to him, currently the West Java Provincial Government and the Sukabumi Regency Government are focusing on evacuating residents affected by the disaster, as well as repairing damaged infrastructure, including cut roads and collapsed bridges.

"For the cut road, there are six points, all of which are provincial roads," he explained again.

Regarding the updated data on victims and the impact of the disaster, Bey Machmudin conveyed that there were communication problems that caused delays in information.

This is due to the breakdown of electricity at several disaster locations, which hinders the reporting and coordination process.

The process of evacuation and disaster management is currently being carried out by joint officers, with top priority on the safety of still missing victims and the recovery of disaster-affected infrastructure.
