Yusril: Philippine Government Agrees To Draft Agreement For The Transfer Of Prisoner Mary Jane Veloso

BADUNG - Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Correction Yusril Ihza Mahendra said the Philippine government had approved a draft practical agreement made, one of which was to transfer Indonesian prisoners to the Philippines.

"We have submitted the draft to the Minister of Justice of the Philippines and the Philippine Government this morning to answer that they fully agree with the draft we submitted," said Yusril in Badung, Bali, Thursday, December 5.

Tomorrow Friday (6/12) the Philippine Minister of Justice will come to Jakarta to finalize the draft practice agreement and also sign the draft.

"And tomorrow the Philippine Minister of Justice will come to Jakarta to finalize the draft and will likely sign what is called the practice agreement between Indonesia Government and the Philippines Government on transfer of principlers," he added.

In the near future Mary Jane Veloso will be able to be transferred to the Philippines.

"So maybe if it has been signed in the near future Mary Jane will be transferred to the Philippines. Because there has been approval between the two parties, both Indonesia and the Philippines," he said.
