Komdigi Explores Cooperation With Australia To Increase Cyber Security

JAKARTA - Indonesian Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, together with Australian Interior Minister, Tony Burke, are committed to strengthening strategic partnerships in cybersecurity.

This step aims to increase Indonesia's cyber resilience by adopting the best experience and practice from Australia, in facing global challenges in the digital era.

Meutya also expressed Indonesia's interest in getting the best practice of Australia in building a resilient cybersecurity ecosystem, because according to her, Australia has a special ministry that handles cybersecurity, and has proven effective.

"We want to adopt these practices to ensure digital security, especially in protecting government services and supporting national digital transformation," Meutya said in its official broadcast.

Not to forget, Meutya also emphasized the importance of this collaboration to prevent major cyber incidents like what happened in Indonesia.

Cybersecurity is President Prabowo Subianto's priority. We see Australia as a strategic partner to share our knowledge and technology to strengthen our digital infrastructure," he added.

Australian Interior Minister, Tony Burke, welcomed Indonesia's commitment to expanding collaboration in this field. He stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation in dealing with cyber threats across countries.
