Get Ready! Ministry Of Transportation Says There Are Five Most Crowded Points Of General Transportation During Christmas And New Year Holidays
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) predicts the five most populous points of public transportation during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year (Nataru) holidays. Where the highest density is predicted to be at the airport.
Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi said these five points of density occurred in each mode of transportation.
Starting from road transportation, crossings, sea ship ports, train stations, to airports.
"We have predicted the most populous knots based on the number of anti-provincial passengers," he said during a working meeting with Commission V of the DPR, in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 4.
Dudy said that road transportation at the terminal is predicted to be 2.5 million people who will crowd several locations. Where there are the five terminals from the most dense departure.
The details are Kalideres with 307,000 people, Pulogebang with 297,000 people, Purabaya with 255,000 people, Rajabasa with 232,000 people and Bekasi Parent with 216,000 people.
"Meanwhile, the destination terminal is Giwangan with 385,000 people, Leuwipanjang 226,000 people, Kampung Rmabutan 213,000 people, Amplas 199,000 people and Daya 177,000 people," said Dudy.
Meanwhile, for ferry passengers, Dudy predicts that there will be 1.6 million people in the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 periods.
Where the most dense locations of origin include Merak Port as many as 242,000 people, Lembar Port 212,000 people, Bakauheni Port 190,000 people, Kolaka Port 112,000 people, and Tanjung Api-Api Port 72,000 people.
"Meanwhile, the most destination crossings are Bakauheni with 242,000 people, Padang Bai 212,000 people, Merak 190,000 people, Bajoe 112,000 people, and Muntok 72,000 people," he said.
Dudy said it is predicted that 6.8 million people will use trains (KA) during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays.
Where the most populous station is Pasar Senen with 1.67 million people, Gambir with 686.000 people, Bekasi with 47.000 people, Bandung with 43.000 people, Surabaya Gubeng with 362.000 people.
Meanwhile, for the most populous train station, namely Lempuyangan with 1.09 million people, Tugu Yogyakarta with 813,000 people, Semarang Tawang with 463,000 people, Bandung with 457,000 people, and Pasar Senen with 421,000 people.
Furthermore, Dudy said there were 1.3 million people crowding the ship's ports during the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 periods. The most populous port of origin is Makassar New Port with 200,000 people.
Then Ende with 117,000 people, Bau or Murhum with 112,000 people, Tanjung Perak with 72,000 people, and Falabishaya with 71,000 people.
"Meanwhile, the destination ports are Tanjung Perak 348,000 people, Makassar New Port 162,000 people, Gorontalo 110,000 people, Balikpapan 100,000 people, and Ambon 71,000 people," said Dudy.
