Prabowo Praises Muhammadiyah: Has Given Examples Of Tolerance In Inclusive Life

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto praised the Islamic organization, Muhammadiyah. According to him, Muhammadiyah has become a real example in building an inclusive life, mutual respect, and support among various elements of society.

"You have set an example in tolerance, in inclusive life, in respect to each other, in life guarding each other, supporting each other, this is very important," Prabowo said during a speech at the opening of Muhammadiyah's 12th Anniversary in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Wednesday, December 4, which was confiscated by Antara.

In his speech, the President emphasized the importance of differences in society, including ethnic, religious and cultural differences, as well as inviting all parties to respect and celebrate diversity.

The President also reminded that there are certain parties from various religions, races, and ethnicities, who tend to take a tough stance, such as religious, ethnic and cultural fanaticism, which can actually lead to conflict and war.

Therefore, the Head of State emphasized that Muhammadiyah's efforts in promoting unity and peace are very valuable to the Indonesian nation.

On that occasion, the President congratulated Muhammadiyah on the 121st Anniversary and hoped that this organization would continue to play its role in the fields of da'wah, education, and health, in order to produce equitable prosperity for the entire community.

"Of course, on behalf of the government and personally, I congratulate and hope that in the future Muhammadiyah will continue to play a role in the fields of da'wah, health, education, producing prosperity for all," said the President.
