DKI Satpol PP Destroys Thousands Of Illegal Alcohol Confiscated
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Satpol PP destroyed 9,712 illegal liquor (alcohol) in the National Monument (Monas) area. DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary (Sekda) Marullah Matali said that the alcohol that was destroyed was confiscated.
According to Marullah, the DKI Provincial Government regulates the circulation of illegal alcohol led by the DKI Satpol PP intensively every year. Then, the alcohol from the control operation was completely destroyed today.
"This is our effort to protect the public from the dangers of illegal alcohol trafficking. There are 9.712 alcohol from the results of control since early 2024 which was destroyed today," said Marullah in the Monas area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, December 4.
Control and destruction of alcohol, continued Marullah, is also an effort to ensure and implement law enforcement against the circulation of illegal alcoholic beverages in the DKI Jakarta Province.
"This operation of alcoholic beverages and their destruction can be carried out thanks to the support of all parties, including the district court in six areas of DKI which have given decisions, so that the destruction of alcohol can be carried out," said Marullah.
Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Satriadi Gunawan revealed that the operation to control alcoholic beverages was carried out based on public complaints through complaint channels belonging to the DKI Provincial Government, public complaints went directly to the DKI Satpol PP, routine patrols with the TNI/Polri, as well as the results of monitoring and monitoring of the DKI Satpol PP.
The liquor that was destroyed was the result of operations from places that did not have official permits, such as in stalls in the community. The DKI Provincial Government does not want to let it go because it is feared that it will create a bad atmosphere in the community.
"The target of the operation is that alcohol traders are not in accordance with applicable regulations, as well as stalls selling adulterated alcoholic beverages," said Satriadi.
