Hutama Karya Express Constraints In Building Palembang And Pekanbaru Toll Roads

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) found obstacles in the construction of two Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) projects, namely, the Pekanbaru Rekatan Section of the Pekanbaru Ring Road (Pekanbaru Association) Pekanbaru, 30.57 kilometers (km) and Palembang's 8.25 km junction.

In the Pekanbaru Weekangkat Pekanbaru Circle Section (Pekanbaru Association) project, the main challenge is to pass through various peatlands that require several methods of land handling.

These include Preloading technology, Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) or reimbursement to repair the ground.

Meanwhile, in the Palembang Junction project, the challenge faced is to pass through areas that have an active crossing of oil pipes and gas pipes.

This requires the application of construction technology, such as the Steel Box Girder bridge on bridges and connecting structures that will provide stability strength to avoid potential disruption to critical infrastructure.

"For this reason, Hutama Karya is committed to implementing various technical solutions and ensuring the safety and smooth flow of traffic during construction," said Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim as quoted from Hutama Karya's official website, Wednesday, December 4.

As for November 2024, the progress of the Pekanbaru Ring Road construction reached 35.34 percent.

Meanwhile, the progress of the Palembang Junction construction reached 93.32 percent or almost finished by pursuing minor work.
