In The Midst Of Controversy, Banjarbaru KPU Sets Lisa-Wartono To Win Pilkada Votes

BANJARBARU- The General Election Commission for Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan has determined that the Erna Lisa Halaby-Wartono pair won votes in the Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

This is happening in the midst of the spotlight controversy over the vote acquisition of the Lisa-Wartono pair who lost to the disqualified candidate.

The determination of the voting results for the Pilkada Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Banjarbaru which was held on November 27, 2024, was carried out through an open plenary meeting of the Banjarbaru KPU.

"The results of the open plenary meeting of the KPU have decided that the votes won by the Erna Lisa Halaby and Wartono pair will be 36,135 valid votes," said Chairman of the Banjarbaru KPU Dahtiar in Banjarbaru as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 3.

According to Dahtiar, the votes acquired by candidate pair number 1, which is abbreviated as Liwar or Lisa-Wartono, were carried out through a tiered process starting at the level of polling stations (TPS).

Furthermore, the calculation at the level of the District Election Committee (PPK) at the sub-district office was finally determined through a plenary meeting of the city with the agenda of recapitulation of the votes acquired by the candidate pair.

He explained that when reading the number of votes acquired by the Erna Lisa Halaby-Wartono pair, there was no difference with the calculation carried out by witnesses, including Bawaslu, which did not provide a response.

"We have given Bawaslu the opportunity regarding the votes acquired by the candidate pair and there was no response, so it was decided that Erna Lisa Halaby-Wartono's vote would be valid," said Dahtiar.

Dahtiar explained that the total illegal votes in the Banjarbaru regional elections reached 78,736, while the votes of the candidate pairs who were disqualified by the Banjarbaru KPU Muhammad Aditya Mufti Ariffin and Said Abdullah were declared zero.

The open plenary meeting of the Banjarbaru KPU also determined the votes acquired by the Candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan Muhidin and Hasnuryadi, namely 91,649 votes and Raudhatul Jannah with Rozanie 14,251 votes.
