Sri Mulyani's Subordinates Hope That The Free Nutrition Eating Program Absorbs Many Workers

JAKARTA - Expert Staff to the Minister of Finance for Macroeconomics and Finance of Internasiona, Parjiono assessed that President Prabowo Subianto's priority program, namely Free Nutrition Food (MBG), is expected to absorb a lot of workforce.

"The nutritional program or nutritious food, for example, for the next year is around Rp. 71 trillion, not for the health of all kinds of things. But from this side of Rp. 71 trillion, we hope to move our SMEs in the regions, many of our SMKs can be absorbed there," he explained.

According to him, if SMEs in the regions can be empowered to participate in the distribution of free nutritious food, it will open up extraordinary jobs.

"In the long term, especially because of this, we invest in our human resources. We don't download our human resources within 2-3 years, but we can download them for 5 years and over," he said.

Not only that, said Parjiono, the MBG program can be one of the long-term investments for the government in improving the quality of human resources like that carried out by Vietnam.

"If we can imitate Vietnam, it's human resources investment which then comes in them more than us, I think it's an example of how we've worked, re-intensifying our investment in human resources," he said.

In addition to the MBG program, Parjiono said that the government will continue to increase human resources (HR) through the world of education through the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) program.

"Because one of our points is productivity issues, one of which must be technology transport and all kinds of things. We have LPDP who also send our human resources to upgrade human resources as well as more there," he explained.

According to him, if this is implemented properly, Indonesia will be able to achieve the economic growth target set out through quality human resources.
