Elephant Children In TNWK Die, Allegedly Sick
JAKARTA - Public Relations Officer of the Way Kambas National Park Office (TNWK) Sukatmoko said a 6.5-year-old elephant calf was found dead allegedly due to illness.
"Yes, it is true that a tame elephant calf named Rubado was found dead on Sunday (1/12)," said Sukatmoko as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 3.
The tame male elephant was found dead at the Savana area of the Kuala Penet Resort, Section III.
Based on the information and reports obtained, an elephant named Rubado and her mother Meli were herded into Savana in the morning but was found dead in the afternoon.
"So when the two elephants will be taken. The elephant calf is dead," he said.

Currently, his party is looking for the disease suffered by the elephant calf by sending samples to the laboratory.
"For what type of disease, we are still waiting for the results of the laboratory examination which will come out in about 2 weeks," he said.
