Nino RAN Si Musician Amphibious: Active In Front And Behind Stages

JAKARTA - Nino Kayam, who debuted with RAN, has been in the music industry for 18 years. Apart from being active with his group, he is also active as a songwriter and producer with Lale and Ilman Ibrahim (Laleilmanino).

The RAN vocalist hopes to continue his role in RAN and Laleilmanino. Calling himself a amphibious musician, he wants to continue to be active in front and backstage.

"We don't want to be there all the time, we definitely want it to continue to develop. Now I'm doing the music in front of the stage, yes, backstage, yes," Nino said when met in Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday, December 2.

"At the back of the stage, I still made songs for the band myself, but on the other hand I was with another group of songwriters, Laleilmanino, who also composed a lot of songs to help many people's dreams," continued the 37-year-old musician.

Nino also said that there was different satisfaction when he acted as a songwriter and producer for other musicians.

"And thank God it's a different satisfaction. It means like talking about the AMI Awards, for example, getting AMI for yourself is one thing, but when we found out our song managed to lead him to the AMI Awards, it became a different satisfaction again," he said.

For Nino, being active backstage makes him feel completely musician.

"And everything makes my heart as an artist full," he concluded.
