The Year For Female Artists, Apple Music Announces Global Chart 2024
JAKARTA - The year 2024 is a positive momentum for world female artists. 39 of the Top Songs of 2024: Global is performed or featuring artists who identify themselves as women, marking the biggest year for women in the history of the charts for seven years.
Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso" is in 3rd position, the song with the highest number of songs this year at Apple Music worldwide by artists who identify herself as a woman. This song is one of two songs composed by women who made it into the top five, while Taylor Swift's "Cruel Summer" is in fifth position.
With seven songs on the global charts at the end of the year, Taylor Swift is the artist with the second-highest number of songs on the charts, only losing to Drake and Morgan Wallen, who each has eight songs. SZA followed behind him, matching Future with six songs on the charts, led by Billie Eilish's "Snooze" in 11th place, two places behind Billie Eilish's "BIRDS OF A FEATHER".
On the other hand, Dua Lipa also managed to lead the year-end Shazam Global Radio Spins chart for the first time. Perdana, the Shazam Global Radio Spins charts join Apple Music's year-end charts.

Pop leads the charts with 54 songs, but this year is also as powerful for country music, like Beyoncé's TEXAS HOLD EM, Shaboozey's Aboozey's Autin (Boots Stop Workin) and Dasha's are all in the top 20.
Elsewhere on Apple Music's End of Year, Jack Harlow's 'Lovin On Me' leads Best Fitness Song, Yunchan Lim leads Best Classic Album with Chopin: Laughtudes, Op. 10 & 25, and Taylor Swift leads Best Songwriter charts.
