Padang Tiji Toll Road Seulimeum To Probolinggo Banyuwangi Opens Functional During Nataru Holiday

JAKARTA - The government will operate a number of toll roads functionally ahead of the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays (Nataru 2024/2025).

Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo said, there are 120.4 kilometers (km) of toll roads on the islands of Sumatra and Java that will be opened.

The details are 90.42 km of toll roads on the island of Sumatra and 29.98 km of toll roads on the island of Java.

Especially on the island of Sumatra, there is the Sigli' Banda Aceh Section 1 Padang Tiji 'Seulimeum, the Binjai 'Langsa Section 3 Tanjung Pura' Pangkalan Brandan Toll Road, the Kuala Tanjung'IC Indrapura Toll Road and the Pekanbaru 'Padang Section' Sicincin Toll Road which will be operated functionally.

Then, on the island of Java, there is the South Jakarta 'Cikampek II Toll Road, the Kutanegara Segment, the Solo' Yogyakarta Toll Road, the Klaten Section, and the Probolinggo 'Banyuwangi Toll Road Section..

"Resistance and service facilities (TIP) or rest areas have also been prepared, a total of 124 TIPs are available on all Indonesian toll roads," said Dody while attending the Plenary Cabinet Session at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, as quoted from the official statement, Tuesday, December 3.

In addition, the government will temporarily suspend the construction of toll roads and national roads starting from D-10 or to be precise on December 15, 2024.

The cessation of the toll road preservation work will be carried out until D+10 Christmas 2024 or to be precise on January 5, 2025.

"We will ensure that all national toll roads and roads are in a stable condition and do not have a hole," he concluded.
