OTT Acting Mayor Of Pekanbaru, KPK Finds IDR 1 Billion
Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Alexander Marwata said there were findings of money during the arrest operation (OTT) that ensnared the Acting Mayor of Pekanbaru, Risnandar Mahawa. The exact number is still calculated but is estimated at billions of rupiah.
"For the money, it was temporarily delivered over Rp. 1 billion and maybe we know it will develop," Alexander told reporters in the Bali area, Tuesday, December 3.
Alexander said this silent operation was carried out based on public information. The investigation warrant (sprinlidik) was then issued followed by a number of enforcement activities such as surveillance to wiretapping.
"The Sprinlidik was several months ago (published, red) based on information from the public," he explained.
"Then we followed up by wiretapping, by conducting surveillance, by clarifying the reporter and then when the arrest was about to be made, we received information that money was handed over and then we made an arrest," continued Alexander.
Alexander said the party caught in the arrest was still under investigation. As for the information obtained, the team that moved to secure eight people in the activity.
"It's still in the process, yes, to check and then they will be taken to Jakarta," he said.
As previously reported, the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, said that a state administrator was caught in a sting operation (OTT) in Pekanbaru, Riau on Monday, December 2. The inspection was then carried out immediately.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Johanis Tanak said the Acting Mayor of Pekanbaru, Risnandar Mahhiwa, was also caught in the silent operation. However, he admitted that he had not received the full report.
