Minister Of Public Works Reveals Giant Sea Embankment And IKN Entering Quick Wins Program
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo revealed that the construction of a giant sea wall / National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (NCICD) and the capital city of the archipelago (IKN) was included in the Quick Wins program of the Ministry of Public Works.
"Quick Wins to support other strategic flagship programs of state ministries/agencies (K/L) include the construction of sea wall/NCICD giants, IKN, connectivity (walks and bridges), people's markets, drinking water, sanitation/water waste, waste, sports facilities, health facilities, and regional planning (tourism, industry, disaster-affected areas, and evacuation)," said Dody as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 3.
To carry out the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Public Works has compiled a Quick Wins program for infrastructure development to be carried out systematically and integrated.
The Quick Wins 3 program of the Ministry of Public Works, namely Food Security, through optimizing the benefits of dams that have been built to serve irrigation through the construction and rehabilitation of irrigation networks.
Then the construction of roads and bridges to support connectivity to food centers, including food estates in Central Kalimantan, Merauke-South Papua, NTT and others.
Meanwhile, Quick Wins 4 supports 13 Years of Learning by School/Madrasah Development and Renovation in various corners of the country.
The Ministry of Public Works targets the construction/renovation of schools for 11,420 units, starting from kindergarten, elementary, junior high, high school/vocational school/SLB/others, as well as madrasas.
For information, the Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) stated that the construction of a giant sea wall on the north coast of Jakarta requires the presence of investment.
The budget for the construction of a giant sea embankment on the north coast of Jakarta from the Banten to Bekasi areas is estimated at IDR 123 trillion for the next eight years.

AHY said the construction of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) in East Kalimantan would be continued with a focus on completing the central government.
This decision is a follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto's directive which emphasizes the importance of resolving the central government as a priority in IKN development.
