Venna Melinda Officially Divorced Ferry Irawan Without Any Demand

JAKARTA - The couple Venna Melinda and Ferry Irawan were finally decided to have officially divorced verstek by the panel of judges at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Monday, December 2.

"That the Venna Melinda case with Ferry has been granted with verstek. Because at the first trial and the two defendants, namely Ferry, never came even though he had been officially summoned and properly, his summons was valid, his summons were officially appropriate for both," said Suryana at his office, Monday, December 2.

In this divorce, Suryana said that Venna did not sue Ferry Irawan, including Gono's property.

"The result of the decision basically granted the lawsuit from Venna Melinda. Because the lawsuit is single, he only sues for divorce, nothing else is different from the first lawsuit, because he is the position of the defendant, yes, Ferry was the one who filed it," explained Suryana.

"Well, at that time he filed a lawsuit against him, there was a demand for a living, there was a mut'ah, now he is the only one who charges for divorce," he continued.

In this case, Ferry Irawan was given the opportunity to appeal a maximum of 14 days from the divorce decision issued by the Religious Court.

"Today's decision is to grant verstek, so because Ferry is not present, the contents of the decision will be notified to the defendant. Now, after receiving the decision, for example, it will be accepted tomorrow or the day after counting the 14 days, that is his right to file a fight," he said.
