JAKARTA - Koes Plus is one of the Indonesian music icons that is also known to the world. Their presence brings admiration and inspiration, even for other legendary musicians, Mick Jagger.

Recently, the son of the late Yon Koeswoyo, David Koeswoyo, opened an interesting story. He said that one of the hits sung by Jagger was inspired by his father's work.

Uploaded via the Massive Music Entertainment account on Instagram and TikTok, David revealed the story to the public. The song, written by Yon entitled Hidup Yang Sepi, is believed to be an inspiration for Mick Jagger's solo song, Party Doll.

"The story of the late father, so he met a tour guide in Bali. He told his late father that he had escorted Mick Jagger in Bali. Mick had asked what song is now popular in Indonesia. He mentioned several songs including Quiet Life." David said in the video uploaded on December 1 yesterday.

The quiet life was first popularized by Koes Plus in 1970. The song was a success and was performed by many other singers in its time. But no one thought that there was a piece of the Yon Koeswoyo melody in the work of the vocalist of The Rolling Stones.

"In short, it turns out that in 1987 Mick Jagger released the Party Doll. The notation is a bit similar to a quiet life. The story is excited, fiery," he said.

But so far there has been no story from Mick Jagger about the inspiration for the song. David Koeswoyo also handed it back to the audience, to believe the story or not.
