The Attorney General's Office Examines PT Antam Manager As Witness In Ronald Tannur's Free Verdict Bribery Case

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) continues to investigate cases of alleged bribery and gratification related to Ronald Tannur's acquittal. Most recently, investigators examined PT Antam Tbk officials as witnesses.

"Examining one witness, related to the case of conspiracy to commit the crime of corruption in bribery and / or gratification in handling the case of the convict Ronald Tannur," said Head of the AGO, Harli Siregar in his statement, Monday, December 2.

The PT Antam official in question is the Quality Control Manager with the initials SEPT. However, nothing was conveyed in detail from the witness.

It was only conveyed that the examination of the SEPT witness was carried out on Monday, December 2.

"The witness examination was carried out to strengthen the evidence and complete the filing in the case," said Harli.

In this case, the AGO has named six suspects. Three of them are judges at the Surabaya District Court, namely Erintuah Damanik, Heru Hanindyo, and Mangapul. The other two suspects are Lisa Rachmat, legal adviser Ronald Tannur, and former Supreme Court (MA) official Zarof Ricar.

Another suspect is Meirizka Widjaja, the mother of Ronald Tannur, who is suspected of playing a role as a bribe financier. Meirizka handed over Rp1.5 billion to Lisa Rachmat in exchange to influence the judge in order to give his son acquittal.
