Sertijab Pangdam I/BB And Danseskoad, This Is The Message Of Army Chief Of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak

JAKARTA Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak emphasized the importance of inspiring leadership that is able to be role models.

This was conveyed in the Handover of the Position (Sertijab) of the Pangdam I/Bukit Barisan and the Commander of the Army Staff and Command School (Danseskoad) at the Army Headquarters (Mabesad), Jakarta, Monday, December 2.

Two strategic positions handed over were Pangdam I/Bukit Barisan from Lt. Gen. Mochammad Hasan, SIP, to Major General TNI Rio Firdianto, and Danseskoad from Major General TNI Agus Pranarso to Brigadier General Edwin Adrian Sumantha.

"Leaders must be inspiring. Leaders must be role models, not only in appearance, but also in simplicity and innovation. That is what is expected from today's national figures," said the Army Chief of Staff in his remarks.

General Maruli expressed his appreciation to the old officials for their dedication in building their respective units. To the new official, the Army Chief of Staff emphasized that the leadership values should really be applied in every action.

Keep the soldiers moral and physical. Make sure the programs that have been running well are continued, while creating innovations to advance the Army," he said.

In particular, the Army Chief of Staff asked Brigadier General Edwin Adrian Sumantha as the new Danseskoad to focus on the quality of Seskoad graduates. He highlighted the importance of mastery of communication, including English language skills.

The Seskoad graduates must be great. They must have good communication skills and foreign language skills. That will be a big capital for the next generation, "said the Army Chief of Staff.

General Maruli also reminded that cohesiveness within the institution is a key factor in facing future challenges. A strong synergy, according to him, will help the Indonesian Army continue to make the best contribution to the nation and state.

"If we are all united, I believe any challenge we can overcome for the sake of the Army, nation and state," he concluded.
