Ridwan Kamil-Suswono's camp will report KPU to DKPP

JAKARTA - The winning team of Candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, will report the General Elections Commission (KPU) to the Honorary Council of General Election Organizers (DKPP). The report was on suspicion of unprofessionalism.

"Today, God willing, tomorrow we will report to the DKPP regarding the unprofessionalism of the KPU in carrying out its main duties and responsibilities in the Pilkada," said Secretary of the Winning Team Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO), Basri Baco, to reporters, Monday, December 2.

The KPU's most highlighted unprofessionalism is the management or distribution of the C6 form. As a result, many Jakarta residents cannot exercise their voting rights.

This is also said to be one of the reasons for the low precipitation of the community in the contestation of the Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

It is known, based on Charta Politica's survey data, Jakarta's regional elections were only attended by 58 percent of the voter list remained. This means that there are 42 percent of voters who do not use their voting rights or golput.

The KPU has also agreed that the decline in the number of voters participating in the Jakarta regional elections is lower than during the 2024 presidential election (pilpres).

"One of the main factors that makes the lack of participation of participants or residents of DKI Jakarta in the regional election yesterday what does this mean? The incompetentness of election organizers is unprofessional for regional election organizers, especially PPS and KPPS," he said.

"Secondly, because of the unprofessionalism of the election organizers, there are people's rights that are eliminated. What is the right to be able to choose a candidate for governor, this right is eliminated by the election organizers or regional elections because of their inadequacy regarding the spread of the C6 form," continued Baco.

Not only that, but Baco also touched on the problems that occurred at Pols 028 Pinang Ranti, East Jakarta. The case shows the unprofessionalism of KPPS in the Pilkada contestation.

"We believe and believe this is still one form of neutrality in the election organizers," said Baco.
