Israeli Troops Bombardir Houses In North Gaza, 15 Dead
JAKARTA - Israeli troops bombarded houses in an attack on the northern Gaza Strip. A total of 15 people in one of the buildings in the city of Beit Lahiya were reportedly killed.
Several others were injured in the attack after homes providing shelter for refugees were hit by Israeli forces.
Reported by Reuters on Monday, December 2, the three hospitals that are barely operating in the area are unable to accommodate the number of injured victims.
Houses were bombed and several burned in Jabalia and in Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun, where Israeli soldiers have been operating for several weeks, residents said.
Residents say Israeli drones dropped bombs outside schools housing refugee families.
Palestinians say Israeli soldiers are trying to expel people from the northern edge of Gaza by carrying out forced evacuations and bombings to create a buffer zone. The Israeli army denies this.
The Israeli military said its latest operations in northern Gaza were intended to prevent militants from gathering again and launching attacks from the region.
