Ltmpt Chairman: Participants Do Not Attend UTBK Automatic Fall
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Center for Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT) Prof. Mohammad Nasih confirmed that participants who did not attend the computer-based written exam (UTBK) automatically died because the committee did not provide a backup session.
"Participants fall if they do not attend UTBK for any reason, including COVID-19", said Prof Nasih, while reviewing UTBK's first day at Airlangga Universitas Surabaya, reported by Antara, Tuesday, April 13.
The Rector of Airlangga Universitas has also urged participants to do self-isolation before the implementation of UTBK.
"So if we can't attend for COVID-19 reasons, we can't accommodate in the backup session, but the registration fee will be refunded", he said.
This backup session last year was used for participants who could not follow the schedule due to illness or reactive rapid test results.
However, he said, due to a large number of UTBK enthusiasts this year, the backup session was finally used as an additional scheduled session.
"If we issue an additional backup session, then we have to prepare the question again, while the question we have prepared in advance by the number of sessions. And surely the quality of the problem will be different later. There's no way we're going to use that anymore", he said.
Meanwhile, the implementation of UTBK nationally said Prof Nasih has no meaningful reports.
Although there was a university whose server was not ready, and the PLN substation exploded, but the central committee of UTBK managed to handle it.
Also, Airlangga Universitas applies a quick sampling test at all test locations on campus, and the results are all non-reactive, there are even some participants who already carry a quick test letter.
"In each location, we take 10 participants to be tested, and we will evaluate later. If the result is good, we will probably lower the number of sampling", he said.
The sampling test, continued by Prof Nasih, is expected to increase the awareness of participants will maintain their health before taking the exam.
