BPBD Jakarta Calls 2 Kelurahan In Jakut Flooded This Afternoon
JAKARTA - The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that there were two urban villages in the North Jakarta area that were flooded on Monday, December 2, noon.
"Yes, there are 2 sub-districts that experienced inundation in North Jakarta. In Pluit Village, 1 RT was flooded as high as 35 cm caused by the tidal wave. Then another 1 RT was in Marunda Village, the flood was as high as 10 cm due to the tidal wave," said the Head of BPBD Jakarta, Isnawa Adji to VOI, Monday, December 2, afternoon.
The flood inundation was recorded by BPBD Jakarta at 13.00 WIB. Meanwhile, the early warning of coastal flooding (rob) has been advised since November 28.
Isnawa said the tidal wave occurred due to the phenomenon of maximum tides along with the new moon phase, which has the potential to increase the maximum sea level in the form of coastal flooding (rob) in the northern coastal area of Jakarta.
