BRI Launches BRImo In Timor Leste

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI announced the official launch of the BRImo application in Timor-Leste (BRIMOTL).

BRI Retail Funding and Distribution Director Andrijanto said this step was part of BRI's commitment to expand financial inclusion and provide modern, easy and versatile banking solutions in Southeast Asia.

The launch of BRImo Timor Leste will take place on November 29, 2024, at the Centro de Convennaries de D Shalloti (CCD) to coincide with the National Saving Day event, which was initiated by the Central Bank Timor-Leste (BCTL).

"Until the end of September 2024, BRImo users have reached 37.14 million users with a transaction volume of Rp4,034 trillion or a growth of 35.20 percent yoy," he said in a statement to the media quoted on Monday, December 2.

He added that the presence of BRImo in Timor Leste, BRI aims to empower the community and business actors in Timor-Leste through ease of transaction and in managing finances. The launch of BRImo in Timor-Leste further emphasized BRI's commitment to encouraging financial literacy and supporting economic development in the region.

"We are very enthusiastic about bringing BRImo to Timor-Leste, which means BRImo has reached 11 countries to emphasize BRImo World Experience's journey. Introducing BRImo Super App is an effort to accelerate digital services. Our goal is to provide easier, more efficient banking access and of course safe for all users wherever they are," said Andrijanto.
