League Results 1: Win 2-0, Persija Extends Persik's Suffering
JAKARTA Persija Jakarta returned to winning ways when they played the match week 12 of the 2024/2025 Indonesian League 1 against Persik Kediri.
The Kemayoran Tigers extended Persik's suffering with a 2-0 victory on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor, West Java.
The two winning goals all came in the first half each in the ninth minute which was netted by Gustavo and four minutes later through Marko Simic.
This is a turning point for Persija after they suffered a narrow 1-2 defeat in the previous week when they visited Persebaya Surabaya headquarters at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium.
Adding three points makes Persija move up to fourth in the standings. They collected 21 points, three points adrift of Persebaya in the first position.
On the other hand, this is the third defeat suffered by Persik in their four most recent matches. The other two occurred when they met Persib Bandung and PSIS Semarang.

This result makes the team nicknamed the White Tigers still hold in 10th position in the standings with a collection of 15 points. They are eight points from the ravine of relegation.
In the coming week, Persik will act as host to host Madura United, while Persija will travel away to Semen Padang headquarters.
