This Is The Schedule For The Indonesian National Team In The 2024 AFF Cup
JAKARTA The Indonesian national team will appear in the 2024 ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup (AMEC), an event previously known as the AFF Cup. The following is the schedule for the Garuda Troops in the competition.
The tournament will be held from December 8, 2024 to January 5, 2025 in ten host cities spread across nine countries, including Manahan Stadium in Solo, Central Java.
Apart from Indonesia, this event will also take place at the Bukit Jalil Stadium (Malaysia), National Stadium (Singapore), Rajamangala Stadium (Thailand), Thuwunna Stadium (Myanmar), Olympic Stadium (Kamboja), New Laos National Stadium (Laos), Hang Day Stadium and Viet Tri Stadium (Vietnam), and Rizal Memorial (Philippines).
Currently, the Indonesian national team is undergoing a training camp in Bali as part of the preparations. Coach Shin Tae Yong called as many as 33 players to take part in the activity.
The South Korean tactician called on the majority of U-22 players to compete in this event. They were accompanied by senior players such as Asnawi Mangkualam and Pratama Arhan.
Indonesia will start its journey in this event from Group B with Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar and Laos. Garuda troops will play two matches in Manahan and two away.
Indonesia's journey will begin with a trip to Myanmar. Following that, the home against Laos, away to Vietnam, and the group's final match at home against the Philippines.
The two best teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals and finals which will take place in two legs. In the semifinals, Group A winners will meet Group B runners-up and the best Group B team will meet Group A runners-up.
